Research on Educational Transitions and Pathways in Singapore

The Educational Transitions and Pathways Project is an important research study that follows a large cohort of youths across Singapore secondary schools. Starting with the first wave in 2016 (aged 13+) and the second in 2018, the study is currently in its third wave (aged 18+). A key aim of this study is to provide rich empirical insights into the educational, career and life choices that young people make, and the conditions that enable (or hinder) their ability to thrive and flourish. Through this study, we hope to promote deeper conversations on a range of topics from schooling effectiveness, to youth developmental trajectories to school-to-work and lifelong learning.
